Arsenal boss Unai Emery is fighting to save his job ahead of the resumption of the Premier League next weekend.
The Mirror says Emery has a month to save his job at Arsenal – but there is a belief inside the club that sacking the Spaniard will still not solve the crisis at the Emirates.
Emery was given a vote of confidence by the Gunners' head of football Raul Sanllehi in the aftermath of a 2-0 defeat at Leicester last week, which saw them slump to sixth in the Premier League after a run of just two wins from 10 games.
But Emery's fate will be decided by the run of Premier League games, against struggling Southampton, Norwich, Brighton and West Ham – as well as the visit of Manchester City on December 15.
One source said: “The DNA that made Arsenal the club it was has slowly but surely drained away. Appointments have been made – both before and after Wenger's departure – that either didn't work out or aren't working out.
“Long-serving members of staff have been shocked by what's happening to the club."
