Retiring Arsenal goalkeeper Petr Cech credits his successful career to his management team.

Cech says it is vital for players to surround themselves with those they can trust if they are to fulfill their potential.

"You have to believe in yourself and you have to work with the right people," he said. "There are so many people in football that can give you wrong advice, but you need to be strong and believe in yourself, your way and as well, you need to choose the people wisely.

"Once you make mistakes with wrong judgements, your career can go the wrong way. I was very fortunate actually, that the people I chose to work with were very honest with me and always found the best solution for my career.

"They have supported me ever since I was ready to sign the first the professional contract and this includes the family as well. They are the most important on your journey."
