Arsenal have agreed to allow Nacho Monreal move to Real Sociedad for a nominal fee.

Mundo Deportivo says Arsenal have accepted a €250,000 proposal - which will be paid in installments - for Monreal to move to San Sebastian.

The decision over the fee was made out of deference to the veteran, who has been with Arsenal for six years.

A demand for first refusal on future La Real prospects was also withdrawn out of respect to Monreal.

It's also been revealed it only took two meetings with the player for La Real sports chief Robert Olabe to agree personal terms.
