Stoke City are hoping to finalise a deal for Rennes winger Jonathan Pitroipa.
The Potters are looking at completing a move for the 27-year old Burkina Faso international but need to obtain a work permit before going ahead with the transfer.
Pitroipa has been with Rennes since arriving from Hamburg in 2011 after beginning his career with Freiburg in 2004.
