Rennes keen to offer massive role to ex-Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger

Rennes are keen to offer former Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger a return to the game.

Rennes reportedly targeting him to replace Olivier Letang as club president.

Rennes announced on Friday that Letang would be leaving the club, and according to reports Wenger is at the top of the shortlist for the job - which could also encompass the role of sporting director.

The ex-Gunners manager was recently named FIFA's new technical director, but has said that if he was offered an opportunity to return to club football he would consider it.

L'Equipe says Rennes are offering the 70-year-old that opportunity.
