Rennes coach Stephan accepts battle to keep Real Madrid target Camavinga

Rennes coach Julien Stephan admits they're under pressure to keep hold of Eduardo Camavinga.

The 17 year-old midfielder is a priority target for Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane this summer.

Stephan told L'Equipe: "I know he is very happy at Stade Rennais.

"It is absolutely not unrealistic for him to spend an additional year with us. And besides to think it is absolutely not utopian. We hope we can keep him. Very big clubs and very large clubs have learned about Eduardo Camavinga. Which is logical in terms of his talent.

"But I think that for him to continue his progression and his evolution in the best conditions, an additional year in his training club could be very beneficial to him."
