Loic Remy admits Yohan Cabaye's sale to PSG rocked Newcastle United players.
Remy proved the matchwinner in victory over Aston Villa.
"After losing the last three games it was very important for us to get a result today, I was very relieved to score," he told talkSPORT.
"We lost a little bit of confidence in those games because we lost an important player in Cabaye.
"I'm very proud of my team-mates because we all worked hard, that's how we got the result today and that's how we have to play for the rest of the season."
