Released Manchester City striker Jack Redshaw has signed a one-year deal with Rochdale.
The 19-year-old striker spent 10 years at City and scored regularly for the youth teams.
Redshaw joins fellow recent new recruits Brian Barry-Murphy and Joe Widdowson at Spotland as Keith Hill's newly-promoted side gear up for an assault on npower League One.
Hill said: "Jack has a fantastic pedigree and is a natural goalscorer. This is the type of move which will benefit him at this time as he makes the transition into the man's game that is League Football."
