Released Everton striker Jose Salomon Rondon is a target for River Plate.

Rondon had been encouraged to find himself a new club by Everton before his contract was terminated before the World Cup.

TyC Sports says agents have offered Rondon to River Plate.

And new coach Martin Demichelis has quickly approved the deal for the Venezuela international.

Rondon will join River as a free agent.
