Winston Reid believes West Ham United need to show plenty of improvement after an indifferent start to the new campaign.
The Hammers defeated Arsenal in a shock 2-0 result on opening weekend but have since succumbed to losses at the hands of Leicester City and Bournemouth - the latter making the East London club their very first Premier League victim.
As West Ham prepare for the weekend's trip to Liverpool, central defender Reid is imploring his teammates to find the same form that led them to that brilliant victory over the highly fancied Gunners a few weeks ago.
"It doesn't get any easier, but we all know we have to sharpen up a lot to get better," the New Zealand international told the club's official website.
"It is only three games into the season, but we need to wake ourselves up.
"We need to find the form we had in the first game at Arsenal, it would be nice to get a result like that.
"We have to go back to the training ground and try and lift the place, get some smiles back on our faces and get ready for that game."
