Redmond praised making full Besktas debut carrying serious injury

Nathan Redmond is being praised by Besikts fans today.

The former Southampton captain made a first start for Besiktas in the derby against Fenerbahce.

Redmond chose to declare himself fit, despite a broken hand, and wore a bandage as he took the pitch.

The midfielder was eventually substituted on 82 minutes as the match finished 0-0.

Redmond joined Besiktas last month in a free transfer from Saints.
