Redmond focused solely on Southampton

Nathan Redmond is keeping his feet firmly planted on the ground.

The winger is enjoying one of the best spells of his career, which even put him in the conversation for an England call-up.

He has six goals in his last 15 games for Southampton. But Redmond is focused on trying to help his team avoid relegation this season.

"I'm just thinking about Southampton at the moment," said the 25-year-old to reporters.

"When I came back at the start of the season my ambition was to just enjoy my football again and help this football club get as many wins as possible.

"That's still my focus because they were my goals at the start of the season. Until I hit my goals for the season, I won't be thinking about [England] because Southampton are the most important thing to me.

"Last year, when I wasn't playing so well, nobody was talking about stuff like that. I've improved a lot since last season and I'm a lot more focused and I want to keep maintaining that."
