Former Liverpool star Jamie Redknapp felt Danny Welbeck was Manchester United's best performer in their 1-1 draw with Champions League opponents Bayern Munich.
He wrote in the Daily Mail: "Danny Welbeck was United's brightest player, but when he was through one on one, if you had to choose between him and Wayne Rooney to bury that chance, you would go with Rooney every day.
"Welbeck is a great instinctive finisher, but when he has time to think in front of goal he lacks the necessary composure.
"Lionel Messi makes time stand still and can just pass the ball into the net, but Welbeck never seemed set as he raced through on Manuel Neuer's goal. It looked like his head was spinning."
