Redknapp proud of record West Ham finish

Former West Ham boss Harry Redknapp is proud of his work with the club.

Their finish of 5th in 1999 under Redknapp remains their highest ever finish, even if Slaven Bilic's side picked up more points when West Ham came 7th in 2016 as they said goodbye to Upton Park.

Redknapp told the Daily Star: “Well obviously I went to West Ham as a kid, I was 15, I grew up at West Ham, that was my club, that's where I went.

“I was there when we had all those great players and had a great time.

“Then to go back to manage the club, we still have the highest finishing position in the Premier League of fifth, we never got relegated when I was there either. I had a great time there."
