Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp says he does not want to sell striker Roman Pavlyuchenko in January.
The Russian international has been heavily linked with a winter transfer market exit and has expressed his interest at a shift away from White Hart Lane but Redknapp admits he would like to hold onto him if possible.
"I don't want to sell Roman Pavlyuchenko. Technically he's a fantastic talent but he keeps saying he wants to go," Redknapp said.
"He's got great ability but he wants to play regularly but it's been difficult with (Jermain) Defoe, (Peter) Crouch and (Robbie) Keane all doing well. It's unlucky for him."
Pavlyuchenko has been linked with a move to Italian outfit AS Roma but it remains to be seen exactly where he will end up.
