Red Bull football chief Gerard Houllier has cooled rumours of a bid for Liverpool.
The Energy drink giants are seeking to enter English football and have been linked with Houllier's old club.
But the Frenchman insists: "The rumours are false.
"This is not consistent with the philosophy of Red Bull. People would do well to follow what we did with Red Bull Leipzig in Germany as an example.
"God willing we'll play in the Champions League in a few years.
"The Red Bull philosophy is to train, develop, build and naturally innovate."
