Italian club football's return saw 8.28 million viewers tune into public broadcaster Rai to watch the second leg of Juventus and AC Milan's Coppa Italia semi-final on 12th June, reports, www.sportspromedia.com/.

Following a three-month hiatus due to the coronavirus, the viewing figures for the club knockout tournament surpass the ratings for the first leg on 13th February, which attracted 8.1 million viewers.

The 0-0 draw that sent Juventus into the final also scored Italy's highest average audience for a free-to-air (FTA) soccer match during the 2019/20 season.

The fixture got a 34 per cent market share, which is also higher than the 30.4 per cent that tuned in for the first leg.
