On-loan Derby County star Tom Ince feels he has managed to silence some doubters with his recent form for the Rams.

After bursting into the scene for Blackpool a couple of seasons ago, Ince has not lived up to his early hype and has been endured some uncertainty in his career of late.

Ince struggled to make his mark at Hull City after joining the club over the summer and many felt that the 23-year old was throwing his potential away.

Since his loan move to Championship side Derby in the January transfer window though, the former Crystal Palace man has managed to recapture his best form.

Currently high on confidence, Ince has now gone on to state that his performances under Steve McClaren are proving his doubters wrong.

"I felt people were very quick to judge me on whether I was good enough for the Premier League," said Ince. "I came here and I was given an opportunity really early on and it was important for me to show what I can do on the football pitch.

"In the future, whether it be at this football club or somewhere else, if it is in the Premier League, then I hope I can take the next step and prove people wrong at that level.

"My first aim to do that is to help Derby by achieving their aims come the end of this season. When you take a step down from the Premier League, there is always an expectation to come in and perform to a high level and I have had to work twice as hard to prove myself to the boys here.

"I have enjoyed my time on the training pitch and everyone at the club, including the fans, have been fantastic. Now, I'm just looking to give my all from now until the end of the season to get this club back to where it belongs."
