England coach Gareth Southgate is on the managerial shortlist at Manchester United.

The Daily Mail says United have added Southgate to the list of potential managers to take over in the summer as they are becoming increasingly concerned that Mauricio Pochettino will stay at Tottenham.

Southgate signed a new contract to stay on as England manager until the end of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar following the Three Lions' success in Russia.

A chance to jump ship may prove difficult following his recent contract renewal with the national team, and while Southgate has been added as a viable option to take over at United, the Red Devils are wary of his experience at club level.

Prior to his success with England, Southgate has only had one spell at club level where he managed Middlesbrough for three years between 2006 and 2009.
