Really? Pogba played through pain barrier for Man Utd

Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba played through the pain barrier for his two appearances last month, it has been claimed.

Pogba was due to have surgery on a long-standing foot and ankle injury on Thursday and is expected to be out for at least four weeks.

The Daily Mail says Pogba played through the pain barrier in his two comeback games against Watford and Newcastle United.

Sources have claimed the French World Cup winner was keen to prove his commitment to the club, but it appears to have cost him dear.

Having aggravated the problem recently, it was decided that Pogba should have have surgery amid concerns the injury could cause him further problems later in his career.
