January signing Matheus Pereira is confident he can make it at Barcelona.

The midfielder arrived from Palmeiras for €7m and was immediately loaned to Real Valladolid.

He told Mundo Deportivo: "I am very happy to be at Valladolid, it is a great club, I am learning many things, which is what I came for, but my goal is to play for Barcelona.

"The contract ends in June, I want to be in Barcelona, it is the dream of every child, but it will depend on my qualities.

"If I can't go to Barcelona now, I will continue learning at Valladolid or at another club where they want me.

"I am happy to be here and to be able to play the Spanish championship."
