Real Sociedad will attempt to sign Newcastle striker Ayoze Perez in January.

According to El Gol Digital, the La Liga club want Perez in order to replace Sandro, who has struggled since joining from Everton on loan.

Perez would link up with former Magpies teammate Mikel Merino if he joined Sociedad.

Real Betis are also interested in the 25-year-old.
