Real Sociedad striker Willian Jose is pushing to join Tottenham this week.

AS says Willian has asked La Real not to consider him for team selection while they're negotiating his sale with Spurs.

Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho wants to bring the Brazilian to London as cover for crocked striker Harry Kane, who isn't expected to play again until April following hamstring surgery.

Willian's contract carries a €70m buyout clause and Spurs are keen to settle on a fee for much less.

The forward began his European career with Real Madrid Castilla and has scored eight goals in 21 games this season.
