Former Arsenal striker Carlos Vela has opted against a move to West Ham United in favour of staying with David Moyes at Real Sociedad.
Vela scored 25 La Liga goals for Sociedad over the past two seasons and has since attracted interest from numerous clubs around Europe, but has decided against moving.
West Ham will continue to look for a new striker after injuries to key attackers Andy Carroll and Diafra Sakho cost them a top-half finish last term.
New Hammers boss Slaven Bilic has brought in several new faces at the club already, but continues to look to increase the quality in his West Ham squad with deals for Alex Song and Carl Jenkinson expected to be announced this week.
