Real Sociedad midfielder Mikel Merino has hailed young attacking pair Alexander Isak and Martin Odegaard.

Isak and on-loan Real Madrid attacker Odegaard have both been outstanding for La Real this season.

Merino told AS: “It is normal for those who do not see them training every day to be surprised when someone does a great game, like they did that day at the Bernabéu, but we know what they are capable of.

"Isak and Martin have tremendous quality, they are young and they have a lot of room for improvement.

"Hopefully they will stay with us for a long time, because this is how they are going to grow a lot, and they will also make the team grow a lot."
