Real Sociedad defender Robin le Normand is thrilled with a first call-up by Spain.

Le Normand, who also qualifies for France, was granted Spanish citizenship only a month ago.

He said, "I feel super happy for my first international call-up with the Spanish National Team, it has been a long process, but it has made me mature as a person and a footballer and I want to thank all the people of the Federation, to the coach, the president and the sports director for the trust they have placed in me.

"I would like to thank my family first, who have always supported me since I started and have always been by my side, then the club, my teammates and Imanol, who we had been with for eight years together and he has made me grow more than anyone else, so nothing but to thank all those people who surround me every day and who have allowed me to take this great step."
