Real Sociedad defeated Athletic Bilbao 1-0 on Thursday night.

Athletic Bilbao were looking to get back winning ways, following a previous defeat to Real Madrid. Real Sociedad, on the other hand, were beaten 2-1 in the previous match against Barcelona.

Real Sociedad started the first half well, thanks to early goal from Portu in the 5th minute and managed to see out the first half 0-1. Both teams unable to deliver anything further, the score remained at 0-1 at full time.

Athletic Bilbao are in 12th place, with 18 points from 16 matches, while Real Sociedad sit in 3rd, with 29 points from 16.
