Real Sociedad coach Imanol Alguacil is eager for Alexander Sorloth to continue next season.

Sorloth is on-loan at La Real from RB Leipzig this term.

Imanol said: "What do you want me to tell you? I have always said that when Alex gives his best version, he is a top player, he has shown it again and not only in this game, but during the whole season.

"He's a difference maker when he's well. He is having a great season."

Imanol also stated he wants midfielder Asier Illarramendi to be handed a new deal.

"He is playing less, but for me he is a special player," he said. "I have the best squad possible, surely there could have been others with more talent, but I am clear that the one we have right now is gold.

"For me, there is no better squad than the one we have, it doesn't mean that they will all be here next year."
