Real Sociedad coach Imanol Alguacil was delighted with victory at FC Sheriff.

La Real won this Europa League clash 2-0 on Thursday night.

“We knew it was going to be difficult, there is no easy game," said Imanol.

"They have hardly created any chances for us. They do a great job defensively, they are physically strong players with man marking.

“We knew we had to be patient. In the first half we had three clear chances, but it was in the second that we scored both goals and the objective was accomplished.

"The step was to win today and the next thing is to win the next one, now it's time to prepare the match against Villarreal in the Liga."
