Real Sociedad B coach Xabi Alonso is full of praise for Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho.

Xabi played for the Special One at Real Madrid.

He told L'Equipe of Mourinho: "He is one of the best coaches I've had. I would highlight his ability to read the games, his strategy and that ability he has to react to the team when the game gets difficult."

On Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola, who he worked with at Bayern Munich, Xabi also said: "Nobody knows football as well as he does.

"He is very intelligent. He knows how to interpret teams and championships. When Pep starts talking, it is wonderful to listen to him."
