Martin Odegaard is happy with his loan move to Real Sociedad.
The Norway midfielder admits staying with parent club Real Madrid was never an option after last season's success at Heerenveen.
He told TV2: "Already at the end of last season, I thought it was not good for me to return to Madrid.
"For young players, it is very important to have playing time. In Madrid, I think it is very difficult to have some.
"It was obvious to me that it was better to apply for a new loan, which the club accepted. We found a solution soon enough."
