Real Salt Lake has agreed a new regional broadcast deal with Sinclair Broadcasting, reports, www.sportspromedia.com/. Sinclair's KUTV and KMYU networks in Utah will broadcast coverage of the team, with KMYU televising 26 of its 32 regular season games. The other six will air nationally, while KUTV has committed to promoting the team on its various platforms.
The club's arrangement with Sinclair also includes production rights. Sinclair's American Sports Network will produce the games and broadcast them on stations it owns in Las Vegas, Boise and Reno. Other markets are expected to be added to that list shortly, including Phoenix.
"This year, we're making a quantum leap," Real Salt Lake owner Dell Hansen told the official club website. "We're going to be like the mouse that roared. This puts us ahead of teams like Seattle and Portland and more on the same page as Los Angeles."
KMYU has also committed to broadcasting up to six pre-season games via its website.
