Real Madrid wing-back Marcelo was happy with victory at Deportivo La Coruna.

Marcelo admits their game plan was to hit Depor on the break.

He remarked: "We are leaders although we know that now is not important. The important thing was to win. There are many games left and we have started well.

"We did a good job, we started the game pressing up and that has been noticed.

"The coach asks us to keep the ball and defensively we have to be attentive. We train every week to carry it out. We played a great game with and without a ball. Now we have to play and win every game left."
