Neymar is now out of their Champions League tie, though is confident of being fit for Brazil's World Cup campaign.
Selecao teammate Marcelo said: "When you suffer a mishap you start to see things differently and to see more. A movie passes through your head. They are periods in which you learn many things and work much more.
"You go thinking about many things that you have to do from then on. When you're out for so long and you're in so much pain you start getting bored. And you start to tell yourself 'I have to work like this or like that so as not to injure myself again, I'm going to go to bed early, I'm going to improve my diet'."
He continued: "Neymar already knows that people are with him, that Brazil is with him. The situation is complicated, but I am sure that the Brazilians and the whole world are with him, sending him positive energy so that he can return. And I'm sure he'll come back (strong). I also send a message of encouragement and a kiss from the heart."
