Real Madrid wing-back Marcelo admits Isco turned down the captain's armband during the Champions League defeat to CSKA Moscow.

The revelation from Marcelo will only add to the pressure on Isco after his actions last night.

During the 0-3 home humiliation, Isco openly challenged home fans after he was jeered for missing a good scoring chance.

Marcelo was captain for the night and was taken off midway through the second-half.

He revealed: "I tried to give Isco the armband, but he told me that I had to give it to (Dani) Carvajal, I do not know why."
