Real Madrid watching Man City fullback Porro at Sporting CP

Real Madrid are watching Manchester City fullback Pedro Porro.

Porro's form on-loan with Sporting CP this season has seen him force his way into the Spain squad this past week. The defender having endured a difficult loan with Real Valladolid last season, but finding his feet and form in Portugal with Sporting CP this term.

He was named by Spain coach Luis Enrique in his squad last week for the first time for their 2022 World Cup qualifiers against Greece, Georgia and Kosovo. Enrique included four Manchester City players in his line-up with Porro joining Eric Garcia, Rodri and Ferran Torres. The right-sided wing-back has since made his international debut.

And O Jogo says Real Madrid have already made a first move for fullback Porro. Real have made contact with Sporting and City to register their interest ahead of the summer market.

Porro's loan with Sporting runs to the end of the 2021/22 season and carries a permanent option.

It's understood City do not have a recall clause in the deal.
