Real Madrid veteran Marcelo has kept on his strict diet since the arrival of Zinedine Zidane.

The Brazil wing-back had won over former coach Santiago Solari by cutting his weight after being criticised for carrying extra kilos midseason.

And he has continued to drop kilos with the return of Zidane.

Okdiario's chief pundit Eduardo Inda, speaking on El Chiringuito, revealed: "Marcelo had lost 4.5 kilos, I said a few weeks ago, and he's already now at six.

"He is at the same level as May of last year."

It's suggested Zidane now is insisting Marcelo remain for next season after his show of professionalism.
