Real Madrid veteran Marcelo on Chelsea draw: We're calm; we'll fight until the end

Real Madrid veteran Marcelo is confident of victory at Chelsea after the 1-1 draw in the first-leg of their Champions League semifinal.

The Brazlian struggled for Los Blancos as they came from behind to draw 1-1, but it was the Premier League side who had the better of the night's action.

"We knew that it could go like this," Marcelo told Movistar in his post-match interview. "But there's another game to come. We're fine and we know what we have to do. The second leg will be different.

"We can't choose the rhythm of the game. We have to adapt to what it is. We're fine and we're calm.

"We're going to have a bit of rest, and surely things will change."

Karim Benzema was the hero on the night, scoring a stunning leveller in the first half, but Marcelo was keen to point out everyone's contribution.

"The team consists of more than 25 players," Marcelo said. "We are working hard every day. I'm happy that Karim scored, but above all that we come out [of the game] with our heads held high."

Before concluding, Marcelo promised the fans that "Real Madrid will fight until the end".
