Real Madrid have tabled a pre-contract offer to Bayern Munich defender David Alaba.

Real Madrid are now close to completing a deal to sign Alaba, with the player's contract expiring on June 30, which means he is now free to speak to other clubs.

Bayern had given the Austrian international permission to contact other sides when talks between Alaba and his current club collapsed, which was reportedly 200,000 euros a week.

Marca says Real Madrid have made a concrete offer to Alaba of 10 million euros a season for four years, as they look to stave off interest from other top European clubs.
