Real Madrid striker Benzema wants Florentino talks over Haaland plans

Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema wants talks with president Florentino Perez over his future.

Onze says Benzema has demanded a meeting with Florentino in March as he fears he may lose his place in the team if Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland moves this summer.

Florentino's Real are, meanwhile, interested in bolstering their attack this summer and have been linked with a moves for Haaland and fellow forward Kylian Mbappe of PSG this year.

Benzema feels threatened by the potential arrival of Borussia Dortmund frontman Haaland this summer and wants to meet next month to clarify his position in the team.

He currently has a deal in the Spanish capital until the summer of 2023 - but is unlikely to attract a huge transfer fee given he is 34 years of age and in the twilight years of his career.
