Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema has rejected an approach from PSG.
Le 10 Sport says PSG chief Leonardo made an attempt for Benzema earlier this year with the aim of bringing him back to France for next season.
Leonardo had identified the Real centre-forward as a replacement for the off contract Edinson Cavani.
However, Benzema rejected Leonardo's approach, with his ties to former club Lyon proving a major factor. Indeed, within weeks of turning down PSG, Benzema was committing himself to a new two-year deal with Real.
Agent Karim Djaziri confirmed: "He has just extended his contract at Real until 2022, it's official.
"It will take him up to 35 years of age, after we will see ... What is certain is that he always had Lyon in his heart."
