Real Madrid seeking to buy back Sergio Reguilon from Tottenham

Real Madrid are seeking to buy back Sergio Reguilon from Tottenham.

Sport says the 24-year-old arrived in north London from Real Madrid over the summer, with the Spanish giants accepting a fee of around £25million for the defender.

Reguilon has played 13 times in the Premier League so far this season, establishing himself as an important member of Jose Mourinho's squad as Spurs chase their first domestic title in sixty years.

However, the Portuguese boss could potentially be robbed of his man before the end of the month, with Real eyeing a shock move to bring him back to the Spanish capital.

The 13-time European champions are considering a £40m bid to activate the buy-back clause inserted into Reguilon's current contract.

The report claims that Real's hierarchy are seeking a solution to their problems at left-back.
