Real Madrid's French speakers played a key role in convincing Eden Hazard about a move from Chelsea.

Hazard's move to Real was confirmed last week, with his fee an initial €100m rising to €150m.

And AS says a big influence on the move was Real's French speakers - Thibaut Courtois, Karim Benzema and Raphaël Varane.

The trio were in contact with Hazard for several months, helping him with house-hunting and also local schools for his children.

The enthusiasm and co-operation shown by the three players went a long way to convincing Hazard about the move.
