Real Madrid's Bale, Dortmund's Hummels part of Man Utd summer spending plans

Manchester United are reportedly set to splash around £180million on four players in the summer transfer window.

The Telegraph reports that the Red Devils are planning a quadruple swoop on four top-quality players in a bid to strengthen Louis van Gaal's squad.

It is believed that Real Madrid star Gareth Bale, valued at £100million, is the key name in United's wish-list which also includes a World Cup-winning defender.

United have been linked with Borussia Dortmund's Mats Hummels for some time now but will reportedly up the ante in their pursuit and are willing to pay £30m.

The Old Trafford club are also determined to land Dutch young gun Memphis Depay from Eredivisie champions PSV Eindhoven and England full-back Nathaniel Clyne from Southampton who are valued at around £25m each.
