Real Madrid revive plans for RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner

RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner is back on the radar of crisis club Real Madrid.

With no goals in the past four games, Real Madrid president Florentino Perez recognises the need to find a new striker signing in January.

A budget of €200m is being put together for the winter transfer window, with Florentino knowing any signing made will be eligible for the remainder of the Champions League this season.

El Confidencial says among the players being considered is Germany international Werner, who was also considered last season. Florentino was ready to splash out on the youngster, only for former Real coach Zinedine Zidane to talk him out of the move.

However, with Real's goalscoring now at crisis point, the president is ready to spend big on a new striker and along with top target Harry Kane, of Tottenham, Werner is also under consideration.
