Real Madrid president Perez involved in car accident

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez was involved in a car accident at the end of Saturday's 0-0 draw with Villarreal.

Marca reports Perez did not have the best of Saturday nights as after watching Real Madrid draw 0-0 at home to Villarreal, his car was involved in a minor collision as he left the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu and the incident was caught by television cameras.

The goalless draw was a particular disappointment as Madrid fans had been on such a high after recent results, although Los Blancos remain top of LaLiga Santander.

Then after witnessing that encounter, the first game Madrid have failed to win since returning to the Bernabeu, Perez's car was bumped from behind when turning on the Glorieta de los Sagrados Corazones.

The incident was very minor and the cars continued on their ways, with Perez being mobbed by fans any time the car stopped to turn or at a traffic light.
