Real Madrid president Florentino Perez praised Cristiano Ronaldo after their Club World Cup triumph.

Ronaldo proved the matchwinner as they 1-0 against Gremio.

Perez said, "He'll always score. Those who question Cristiano are questioning Real Madrid and the game of football. He played really well and once again displayed that hunger and desire that personifies his style of play."

The president was also asked about Ronaldo's demand that Barcelona grant them a guard of honour for this week's El Clasico.

“I don't know. we have a huge game coming up next weekend and this win will certainly stand us well ahead of the match."
