Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is targeting Valencia midfielder Carlos Soler for the summer market.
El Confidencial says the youngster is high on Perez's shopping list, convinced he'd be a step up on the likes of Dani Ceballos and Marcos Llorente.
Soler, 21, is tied to Los Che until 2021 and his contract carries an €80m buyout clause.
Real have glowing scouting reports on Soler - both in terms of footballing ability and his personality. Valencia are insistent that he is not for sale, but Real believe they'll soften their stand with players being included in their offer.
Ceballos, Llorente and Borja Mayoral will be among those Real youngsters offered to Valencia in part exchange for Soler.
