Former Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino is back on the agenda at Real Madrid.
Real president Florentino Perez is a fan of the Argentine and has him high on his shortlist of names to eventually succeed coach Zinedine Zidane.
And it's been suggested this season could be the last for the Frenchman at Real should they end the campaign without a trophy.
Florentino - via intermediaries - has been in contact with Pochettino and requested the former Espanyol coach keep him informed of his plans in the coming months.
For the moment, Real are top of the table after Sunday's victory over Barcelona, but there is pressure on Zidane amid claims of tension with the certain players and disagreement over transfer policy with the board.
