Real Madrid president Florentino Perez accompanied Eden Hazard this week for his operation.

Hazard had a plate removed from his leg at the Sanitas La Zarzuela University Hospital.

And after the operation, Florentino was there to greet him. The president wanted to see Hazard in person after the surgery - a gesture which lifted the Belgian's spirits.

Once leaving the operating room, Hazard was in good spirits and expressed determination to return to action as soon as possible.

The attacker is expected to be sidelined for 30-45 days.
